NPPB and heart valve disorder: Very high NT-proBNP values present in the blood serum of patients with hemodynamically significant valvular heart disease may indicate the decompensation of an overloaded left ventricular muscle, which can be confirmed by a significant correlation between the NT-proBNP level and NYHA classes, the pre-operative hs-TnT level, and the LVEF demonstrated in this study.
