In contrast, ZnT2KO mice were unable to activate colonocyte lysosome biogenesis in response to infection (Figure 7A(vi–viii),D), while ZnT2-attenuation in HT29 cells prevented LPS-stimulated lysosome biogenesis, and lysosome number and size were significantly decreased (Figure 8A–C; p < 0.01 and p < 0.05, respectively) compared to unstimulated cells.
