EGFR and metastasis: On the other hand, patients with EGFR-activating mutations detected in their baseline plasma were significantly associated with larger primary tumor sizes (p = 0.004), higher node stages (p = 0.04), and the development of bone metastasis (p = 0.002) (Table 3 and Supplemental Table S1), along with shorter PFS (12.9 months vs. 17.7 months, p = 0.02) (Figure 3A) and OS (24.0 months vs. 39.4 months, p = 0.02) (Figure 3B), compared to those without EGFR-activating mutations detected.
