In agreement with these observations, long-term (up to 24 h) exposure to PEVs stimulates specific signalling pathways, such as p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (p38 MAPK), myosin light chain-2 (MLC2), and Rho-associated protein kinase (ROCK) [16], that drive cancer cell motility and spreading [17,18,19,20].
