TRPM4 is a potential prognostic cancer marker; further studies using TRPM4-KO cells or a specific TRPM4 inhibitor (9-phenanthrol, flufenamic acid, NBA (2-(1-naphthyloxyacetamido)-4-chloro -benzoic acid), and LBA (4-chloro-2-(2-(4-chloro-2-methylphenoxy) propanamidei) benzoic acid)), CBA ((4-chloro-2-(2-chlorophenoxy) acetamido) benzoic acid, also called compound 5)) treatments could give a better overview of the role of TRPM4 in the development, growth, and metastasis of cervical cancer [31,48].
