PCSK9 is involved in the occurrence and development of cardiovascular diseases through a variety of mechanisms, such as LDL-R degradation mediating the increase in circulating low-density lipoprotein (LDL) [4,13], binding with TLRs mediating the inflammatory response [14,15,16,17] and binding with the CD36 receptor promoting PA and thrombosis [18,19]. This evidence concerns the gene PCSK9 and cardiovascular disorder.
