The HNF1 transcription factor gene set appeared enriched in Intestinal GC (Supplementary Materials Figure S16) while, beyond the 8q24 band (as expected from enriched the Farmer breast cancer cluster 2), the chrXq28 band resulted in significant association between the regulons of the SSX1, SSX4 and SOLHLH1 MRs, which are involved in stem cell maintenance and are indicated as cancer and testis antigens (Supplementary Materials Figure S14). This evidence concerns the gene HNF1A and cancer.
