We selected GBM samples from TCGA projects on GEPIA and found a positive correlation between ADAM8 gene expression and expression of TAM signatures including Iba-1 (AIF1, R = 0.38, p = 4.5 × 10−7), CD11b (ITGAM, R = 0.63, p = 0), CD163 (R = 0.56, p = 4.9 × 10−15), and CD206 (MRC1, R = 0.64, p = 0) (Figure 2A), indicating that ADAM8 expression is associated with TAMs and may play a role in attracting TAMs into GBM. This evidence concerns the gene CD163 and glioblastoma.
