A newer study reported [56] a methylation marker panel composed of p16INK4a, RASSF1A, TIMP3, and PCQAP/MED15 TSGs, which showed remarkable diagnostic accuracy in the early detection of oral cancer (OC; 91.7% sensitivity and 92.3% specificity) and of oropharyngeal cancer (OPC; 99.8% sensitivity and 92.1% specificity). This evidence concerns the gene MED15 and oropharynx cancer.
