For example, in malignant gliomas, Fasudil has an anti-angiogenic effect and has been shown to inhibit tumor progression in mouse glioma models; in lung cancer, Fasudil can promote the differentiation and maturity of small-cell lung cancer and inhibit tumor growth, and when combined with BI-2536, it leads to synergistic therapeutic effects in KRAS-mutant lung cancers [19]; and by inhibiting ROCK activity, Fasudil can sensitize gemcitabine therapy in pancreatic cancer stem cells [20].
