Compared with the HD group, five genes were significantly deregulated in CD34+CD15− CP-CML cells (Figure 1A): four were upregulated (hnRNPA1, protein arginine methyltransferase 5 (PRMT5), Pre-MRNA processing factor 8 (PRPF8), and polypyrimidine tract binding protein (PTBP1); p < 0.001) and one was downregulated (serine and arginine-rich splicing factor 1 (SRSF1); p < 0.05). The gene discussed is PRPF8; the disease is Huntington disease.
