The overexpression of FLOT1 has been previously discovered to promote migration and invasion and induce recurrence of bladder transitional cell carcinoma [38], activate oncogenic ALK signaling to drive malignant phenotypes of neuroblastoma [40], and sustain inflammatory signaling to facilitate the growth and invasion of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma cells [40, 41]. The gene discussed is FLOT1; the disease is neuroblastoma.
