In a study of the Pittsburgh Scleroderma Databank, evaluating 1,432 patients with SSc, anti-fibrillarin was associated with dcSSc and multi-organ involvement including joint involvement, severe gastrointestinal disease, pulmonary fibrosis, PAH, digital ulcers and heart and kidney involvement (9). The gene discussed is FBL; the disease is pulmonary arterial hypertension.
