KIF20A and non-small cell lung carcinoma: Overexpression of KIF20A has been reported to be associated with cancer progression and chemoresistance in NSCLC, CRC and HCC (Zhao et al., 2018; Xie et al., 2020; Wu et al., 2021) Yang C. et al. (2021) reported that KIF20A induced NUAK1 activation upregulating GPX4 levels, which maintained intracellular redox homeostasis and inhibited ferroptosis, ultimately leading to CRC resistance to oxaliplatin.
