ALB and Hypoalbuminemia: The fact that in the nephrotic condition albumin is cleared as a 36 Å molecule is supported by the finding that the loss of plasma albumin to give rise to hypoalbuminemia is quantitatively accounted for by the appearance of albumin in the urine (Greive et al., 2001; Koltun and Comper, 2004; Koltun et al., 2005; Vuchkova et al., 2014; Comper et al., 2016).
