SERBP1 and cancer: In contrast, the downregulated genes in SERBP1-OE cells were mainly enriched in synaptic transmission, platelet activation, positive regulation of cell proliferation, blood coagulation, signal transduction, negative regulation of cell proliferation, positive regulation of transcription from the RNA polymerase II promoter, and apoptotic process (Fig. 3F), which was consistent with the functions of SERBP1 in cancer and in the regulation of proliferation and apoptosis.
