In the peripheral circulation of patients with myasthenia gravis (MG), primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) and autoimmune hepatitis (AIH), the population of Tfr cells is significantly increased to confront self-reactive responses, and the number of Tfh cells reduced, and in general, the ratio of Tfh/Tfr cells is dramatically decreased (Wen et al., 2016; Zheng et al., 2017; Liang et al., 2020). This evidence concerns the gene TFRC and primary biliary cholangitis.
