Interestingly, in the group that was treated with the phage cocktail 1 day after infection (group 6), but also in the group in which phage therapy was started 2 days after the detection of bacteria in the feces (group 7), the levels of T and Th CD4+ lymphocytes were not statistically significantly different from those of the uninfected control groups (groups 1 and 2) throughout the experiment.
