Endoglin has been proved to be involved in the development of cardiac valve and in the cell migration and invasion in endometriosis, ovarian cancer and clear cell renal carcinoma, all of which are achieved through regulation of the EMT process (Mercado-Pimentel et al., 2007; Hu et al., 2019; Chen et al., 2021; Zhang et al., 2021).
