SLC7A5 and cancer: All cell lines express high levels of SNAT2 mRNA (log (2)transformed RNAseq counts from the Cancer Cell Line Encyclopedia (Ghandi et al., 2019): HPAFII 7.47, HCC 1806, 6.35, MDA-MB-231 6.54, OVCAR3 7.33, SKOV3 6.26) that are similar to those of LAT1 (SLC7A5 HPAFII 6.99, HCC 1806, 7.12, MDA-MB-231 7.55, OVCAR3 7.65, SKOV3 9.06) an amino acid transporter gene known to be highly expressed in most cancer cell lines.
