LOXL2 and lung carcinoma: Our findings suggest that both the increased glycolysis and cell proliferation observed in esophageal cancer is due, at least in part, to the interactions of LOXL2/L2Δ13 with aldolase A. Aberrant expression of aldolase A is found to be associated with tumor metastasis and worse patient prognosis in several types of solid tumors, including lung cancer and pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma [37,38].
