INS and type 1 diabetes mellitus: Nt-INS- and oxPTM-INS-specific T cells had a higher percentage of naive cells than the influenza control (44.7% and 41.1%, respectively) but appreciable percentages of TCM and TEM were also present, suggesting that there is an existing pool of memory T cells that recognised these INSPs in individuals with type 1 diabetes (ESM Figs 8, 9).
