In our study, the increased serum levels of both ALT and AST were observed in 90-day-old Landes geese compared with those of the 60-day-old geese (Table 3), suggesting that the force-feeding process caused the abnormal liver function, i.e., formation of fatty liver, as reported previously (Locsmándi et al., 2007). This evidence concerns the gene GPT and fatty liver disease.
