We also acknowledge a relatively low breath of coverage of some exons of the F12 gene compared with that of SERPING1 gene (66.49% of bases covered at least 10× in F12 compared with 88.33% for SERPING1), which may hinder the identification of causal genetic variants in patients with clinical suspicion of HAE-nC1-INH. This evidence concerns the gene SERPING1 and hereditary angioedema.
