The Spearman correlation analysis showed that the expression of STAT1 in PB showed a moderate to strong positive correlation with the immune response of pSS patients, including anti-SSA (r = 0.75, p < 0.001), anti-SSB (r = 0.47, p = 0.011), ANA (r = 0.52, p = 0.0031), and IgG (r = 0.58, p < 0.001), and associated with the disease activity based on the ESSDAI index (Figure 7B), in accordance to the results of Barrera et al (31). This evidence concerns the gene BTG3 and peeling skin syndrome.
