Blockade of 5‐HT via inhibition of the 2A receptor decreases fetal pulmonary vascular resistance in the ovine fetus with PH and prevents the development of PH and pulmonary vascular remodeling in a neonatal murine model of bleomycin‐induced BPD and PH (Delaney et al., 2013, 2018). Here, HTR5A is linked to bronchopulmonary dysplasia.
