HTR5A and bronchopulmonary dysplasia: From a neonatal perspective, pharmacologic blockade of 5‐HT via inhibition of the 2A receptor not only decreases fetal pulmonary vascular resistance in the ovine fetus with PH, but also protects against the development of PH and pulmonary vascular remodeling in a neonatal murine model of bleomycin‐induced BPD and PH (Delaney et al., 2013, 2018).
