SPAG6 and cancer: Aberrant expression of SPAG6 in hematological malignancies, Burkitt lymphoma, and breast and non-small cell lung cancers may serve an important role in the occurrence and development of different human cancers by regulating the growth, apoptosis, invasion, and metastasis of tumor cells via AKT/FOXO, PTEN/PI3K/AKT, and other pathways (Jiang et al., 2019; Mijnes et al., 2019; Zheng et al., 2019; Zhang et al., 2020).
