No statistically-significant differences were found in sex ratio, age, course of diabetes, BMI, blood glucose, blood pressure, blood lipid profiles, serum FCP, NO, VEGF, SDF-1α, CRP, TNF-α, IL-6, AGEs levels, number of EPCs in peripheral blood, EPA, EAA, EMA, ETF, or baPWV between the two groups at 0 week (P > 0.05) (Table 1).
