UACA and non-small cell lung carcinoma: The previous study demonstrated that the expression of uveal autoantigen with coiled-coil domains and ankyrin repeats (UACA) and APIP was downregulated in non-small cell lung cancer, leading to the loss of Apaf-1 nuclear entry assisted by UACA, which may underlie the failure of DNA-damage checkpoint activation, causally contributing to the development and progression of small cell lung carcinoma [18].
