IFX was the first anti-TNF to gain license for CD, due to data from ACCENT I (A Crohn's Disease Clinical Study Evaluating Infliximab in a New Long-Term Treatment Regimen) study, which showed patients who received maintenance IFX therapy were two times more likely to maintain clinical remission compared with placebo (odds ratio [OR] 2.7; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.6–4.6) [7].
