Of note, DAD is frequently observed in patients who have developed DILD due to the administration of tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), including EGFR-TKIs8, and is also a common characteristic among the majority of patients with acute lung injury, such as cases of acute exacerbation (AE) of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Here, EGFR is linked to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
