Interestingly, we have also identified that the expression status of other COPD hub genes like SREK1, TMEM67, CDC42BPA, DPF3, and ASB4 improves the survival duration of lung cancer patients, hence they may act as potential molecular drug targets and/or biomarkers for both COPD and/or lung cancer. The gene discussed is CDC42BPA; the disease is chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
