To assess whether suPAR levels are causally linked to CVD, we performed MR using the experimentally validated PLAUR rs4760 missense variant and the following cardiovascular phenotypes: aortic valve stenosis, atrial fibrillation, coronary artery disease, heart failure, hypertension, intracerebral hemorrhage, ischemic stroke, myocardial infarction, peripheral artery disease, pulmonary embolism, stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and venous thromboembolism. Here, PLAUR is linked to intracerebral hemorrhage.
