PLAUR and venous thromboembolism: To assess whether suPAR levels are causally linked to CVD, we performed MR using the experimentally validated PLAUR rs4760 missense variant and the following cardiovascular phenotypes: aortic valve stenosis, atrial fibrillation, coronary artery disease, heart failure, hypertension, intracerebral hemorrhage, ischemic stroke, myocardial infarction, peripheral artery disease, pulmonary embolism, stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and venous thromboembolism.
