KRAS and colorectal carcinoma: The presence of ≥2 CTCs per 3.2 ml of blood and KRAS mutations were independent adverse prognostic factors associated with DFS, while TNM staging, CA-125 levels, CTCs ≥2 per 3.2 ml, and KRAS mutations were independent adverse prognostic factors associated with OS, consistent with the results of Yang et al. [34] who analyzed 211 cases of stage I-III CRC and similarly identified intraoperative CTC positivity as an independent indicator of poor prognosis.
