In the present study, by analyzing the heart failure-related GEO dataset GSE47495 (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/geo/query/acc.cgi?acc=GSE47495) and performing gene ontology (GO) functional enrichment analysis, we obtained histone lysine methyltransferase SUV39H1 and secreted phosphoprotein 1 (SPP1) as two molecules implicated in the oxidative stress and inflammation processes during MI. The gene discussed is SUV39H1; the disease is myocardial infarction.
