The ITGA5 gene is involved in the development of several tumors, since it affects tumor cell proliferation, invasion, migration, apoptosis, cell adhesion, angiogenesis, and other processes in colon cancer [7, 25], oral squamous carcinoma [8, 9], liver cancer [26], glioma [27], bladder cancer [29], ovarian cancer [35], small cell lung cancer [36], melanoma [37], and breast cancer [37]. This evidence concerns the gene ITGA5 and small cell lung carcinoma.
