ITGA5 and gastric cancer: Our group found that ITGA5 was highly expressed in gastric cancer samples from patients, as revealed by bioinformatics analysis in the early stage, and it was closely related to the activation of the extracellular matrix (ECM), and focal adhesion kinase (FAK), as well as AKT and PI3K signaling, suggesting that ITGA5 might be considered as a potential biomarker and therapeutic target for gastric cancer.
