To further substantiate the protective effects of SKQ1 against CDDP-induced nephrotoxicity, the kidney biomarkers KIM-1 and NGAL were evaluated using western blotting; and our results indicated that SKQ1 attenuated the elevated KIM-1 and NGAL protein levels observed in mice with CDDP-induced AKI (Figure 1(e)).
