Fasting C-peptide had been shown negative relationships with hs-CRP and hs-cTnT if the value of fasting C-peptide was < 1.4 ng/mL and shown positive relationships if its value was ≥ 1.4 ng/mL in Model 1 adjusting for covariates like sex, age, smoking status, BMI, SBP, LDL cholesterol, triglycerides, previous hypertension, and use of lipid-lowering medication. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and hypertensive disorder.
