Severe COVID-19, compared to mild infection, was significantly correlated with high levels of CRP (P < 0.001) and ESR (P < 0.001) and lower levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D (P < 0.001), LDL (P < 0.001), TG (P < 0.001), cholesterol (P < 0.001), and low real-time PCR Ct value (P = 0.018). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and COVID-19.
