Taken together, these data are the first evidence of new role of the stem cell transcription co-factor ZNF521 (so far known for its involvement in the stem pathway) in the regulation of human epithelial ovarian carcinoma (hEOC) cells, suggesting that this could be due to the modulation exerted by ZNF521 on regulatory genes of the relevant molecular mechanisms of EMT in human ovarian cancer. This evidence concerns the gene ZNF521 and ovarian carcinoma.
