Lastly, we found that Clec7a, a factor associated with innate immune responses to pathogens and the phagocytotic properties, were significantly increased in the AKI-KRM and AKI-mono, compared to the renal macrophages at quiescence, suggesting its involvement in the regulation of post-AKI tissue response and repair by macrophages (Figure 1D). The gene discussed is CLEC7A; the disease is acute kidney injury.
