Given the difficulty in collecting enough tumor tissue for tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) assay analysis by flow cytometry (FCM) and the fact that crosstalk between Tregs and cancer is a complex process involving multiple genes, we built and validated a prognostic stratification model based on Tregs-related genes in public datasets that could be used to efficiently categorize HCC patients prognostically and predict their response to anti-PD-L1 immunotherapy. The gene discussed is CD274; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
