Other studies demonstrated that curcumin mitigated sepsis-induced AKI through inhibition of long non-coding RNA plasmacytoma variant translocation 1 (lncRNA PVT 1), suppression of the Janus kinase 2 (JAK2)/STAT3 and the c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK)/NF-κB signaling pathways, and upregulation of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-γ (PPARγ) (Siddiqui et al., 2006; Huang et al., 2020; Zhu et al., 2020). Here, JAK2 is linked to acute kidney injury.
