In summary, due to the diversity of oncogenes and antioncogenes, USP13, serving as a deubiquitinase, may play completely contrary roles in different cancers, which was similar to other members in USP family showing both tumorigenic and tumor-suppressive effects in different contexts, such as USP9X, USP10, USP18, USP22, and USP28 (Cheng et al., 2019; Bonacci and Emanuele, 2020).
