INS and coronary artery disorder: In order to investigate the short-term effect of lactulose prescription, a randomized, crossover, controlled study was conducted on 10 patients with insulin resistance and coronary heart disease given lactulose treatment for 6 days, and it was found that there were no significant differences in habitual diet with lactulose on insulin, glucose, free fatty acids, and glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP1) response when compared to the habitual diet alone (16).
