Taken together, these findings suggest that sex-related differences in CMR-derived CURE-SVD and BNP serum levels define distinct female ischemic and non-ischemic cardiomyopathy phenotypes and may explain differences in survival and outcome, although these findings must be interpreted in the context of the observational study design, which establishes associations rather than causal relationships.
