EGFR and neoplasm: Galbanic acid (GBA), a major lipophilic compound of Ferula species roots, fights progression of tumor cells via inducing G1 and G2/M arrest, inhibition of the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)‐induced proliferation, and preventing hypoxia inducible factor‐1α (HIF‐1α) transcriptional activation via suppressing the EGFR/HIF‐1α signaling pathway (Kim et al., 2011 ▶; Zhang et al., 2012 ▶; Eskandani et al., 2015 ▶; Oh et al., 2015 ▶; Gharedaghi Kloucheh et al., 2021 ▶).
