BTG3 and colorectal cancer: Ma et al. (2020) demonstrated that the combination of hypoxia and BTG3 expression could induce radiation resistance, indicating an important role of BTG3 in hypoxia-induced radiation resistance of colorectal cancer cells. Cucurbitacin B inhibited cell proliferation and anti-apoptosis of colorectal cancer by the reactivation of BTG3 by promoter demethylation (Mao et al., 2019).
