Mainly, cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), interleukin 6 (IL-6), interleukin 8 (IL-8), and interleukin 1 beta (IL-1β) are involved in this adenocarcinoma sequence of CRC by conduction of nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) and signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) [2,3] signal cascading pathways (see Figure 2). The gene discussed is IL1B; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
