CCT2 and cancer: To investigate the relevance of CCT in pediatric cancers, we used the UCSC Xena database to compare cohorts, GTEx (normal tissues), TCGA (adult cancerous and normal tissues), and TARGET (pediatric cancerous and normal tissues) for gene expression of CCT2. The results indicated that TCGA samples had significantly higher expression levels of CCT2 (<0.0001) than GTEx, and that pediatric TARGET samples had significantly higher expression levels of CCT2 (<0.0001) than TCGA samples, Figure 1A.
